Timing: You need to time your jump perfectly so that you can hit the ball before it bounces.
Footwork: You need to have quick footwork and be able to move laterally across the court.
Positioning: You need to be in a position next to the kitchen line, outside the left or right sideline.
Practice: Hitting an Erne requires a lot of practice and patience. without touching the net or the net post, the shot is legal.
